We ran into a "tri-friend" last night at the bar and grille. He and Jen had never met outside the pool so I had to say, "Chris is the guy in the yellow swim cap." You get used to seeing your training or race buddies in a certain bike helmet or swim cap or seeing them with so little on that it can be somewhat startling to see that same person in street clothes. And to my slight embarrassment I've actually had the thoughts like "she looks way better without all the makeup on" or "dude, maybe you should wear a bike helmet and shades all the time." And trust me I'm sure there is only one thing that goes through person's mind when they meet me regardless of what I'm wearing - "that dude is one bald weasel."
