Every once in a while its fun to have a break through workout. This morning I had a great swim. This happens (good and swim in the same sentence) so few and far between that I almost feel like celebrating. A little training euphoria if you will (or it could be that its mid 70s and I have all the windows open and the iPod plugged in - can I get a what, what?!!!!!). Just two of us in the pool this morning so swim coach jumped in the lane next to us to throw down the challenge. I actually led the pull set which is a pretty big deal for me. I never, ever lead. And at the end of the swim I threw down 3 100s all in less than 1:35. OK stop laughing. Its still MOP (middle of pack) but I've never been this fast (or faster than slow) in the water. I like it. I like it a lot.
Now...if that's "yin" then here's my "yang" - the ITB flared up yesterday. Gotta get back into the ART voodoo doc this week. Man I really hoped I could just put this one to bed. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts (just keep swimming, just keep swimming).
