So McDonalds is adding oatmeal to their breakfast offering. Fine by me. Gives me more options when traveling. Oatmeal is a great recovery food and is basically all I'll eat in the morning - just ask anyone I go to breakfast with. But as with just about any food that starts out "healthy" you have to watch out what you add to the mix. According to this Tribune article "McDonald's oatmeal comes in at less than 300 calories, but Caribou Coffee's "very berry" oatmeal with raisins, nuts, sugar and berry compote has 470 calories."
